Charles Wayne Wilson

Charles Wayne Wilson, 82, of Du Quoin, passed away at 5:53 P.M., Thursday, March 4, 2004 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Chuck worked for Illinois Power Company for thirty-three years as a trouble shooter.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin and Loyal Soldiers Sunday School Class.  He was a deacon and a trustee of the church.  He was a member of IBEW.
He was born December 27, 1921 at Du Quoin, IL, the son of Ben and Essie Mae (Bowlin) Wilson.
He married Janet Fledger and she preceded him in death.  He then married Helen Carlene Yates on March 26, 1948 at Du Quoin, IL and she preceded him in death on May 22, 1990.
He is survived by three sons - Benny Charles Wilson of Du Quoin, Morris Wilson and wife Brooke of St. Louis, MO, and Howard Wilson and wife Nadine of Du Quoin, one daughter - Judith Ann Pyle of LaPlata, MD, one sister - Reola McNeill of Murphysboro, one brother - Benny Wilson of St. Charles, MO, four grandchildren - Kaylin Wilson, Kent Pyle, Brian Pyle, and Laura Milbrandt, and three great grandchildren - Katelyn Milbrandt, Alec Milbrandt and Andrew Milbrandt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, two brothers - Everett and Howard and one sister - Helen Parsons.
Funeral services were at 10:30 A.M., Monday, March 8, 2004 at the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin with Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 P.M., Sunday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin and from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service, Monday at the church.
Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Du Quoin.
